"A free economy? Geez why is there a min. wage? Can't trust your free economy?"

You're not making any sense. You're the one who thinks the government should be telling Walmart how to pay it's employees, not me.

fresc, Any employer has the right to offer what wages he feels will serve his business the best. Not one human being is forced to accept those wages. He doesn't have to take that job. If he takes the job, he has to take what wage he signed up for. Labor unions are nothing but agitators that try to get control away from both the employee, and employer, while they fill their own coffers with union dues so the leaders of the unions can become fat cats.

Labor unions are the scourge of the business world, and are the major cause for the increased cost of goods sold. It a worker is not satisfied with the wages he gets, he should quit and get another job. The employer owes him nothing but a decent wage based on his productivity.
