You really seem to have your knickers in a twist lately; it makes me think maybe SUNW has finally turned the corner (at its point of maximum negativity -- or are you about to go even more negative?).

Lately? You mean for the past 3 years or so?

It is true, I can't really get any more negative unless and until the stock gets delisted. Right now, it's nothing.

Clearly Sun can't continue to bump along the line of its current 3-year chart slowly burning cash and losing share. Something has to happen. Twister thinks it's a massive restructuring, which IMHO has already happened in stealth fashion over the past several years.

Where could an upturn come from? Do you believe this software giveaway stuff?

I think that's basically more of the wishful thinking that has failed them so monotonously in the past.

If Sun can build better-than-commodity machines out of Opterons and convince customers they'll stick around and can add some other value (maybe service, maybe software), they have a chance. If not, I personally can't imagine what happens. It certainly isn't anything to do with what the fairy-tale-tellers hanging out on this thread are saying.

Be delighted for you to fill me in. I'd be happy to embrace a more positive outlook. Just give me a reason. :-)
