"Even Bush beat him". I like that. Now rightwingers concede that Bush is a loser candidate and president. And maybe he did lose. Certainly he lost in 2000 and maybe in 2004 too. Karl Rove's machinery though were great at fixing those elections, first in Florida 2000, then in Ohio 2004. The evidence is in on the former, and partly in on the latter. It's very possible Kerry actually won the election, despite all the smears, cheating, lying, false promises and phony scare tactics of the Bushies.

Guess what though, no war-time presdient has ever been defeated for re-election. Even with the grossly unpopular Vietnam War raging, Nixon won by 20%.
