That is easily the Post 'O The Day.
I can't get it out of my mind for now.
The goosebump factor thingie.
"so that the pursuit of peace will take precedence over the pursuit of war. There is nothing to keep us from molding a recalcitrant status quo with bruised hands until we have fashioned it into a brotherhood."

Substitute Iraq for Vietnam, to see we are repeating history here in Iraq.

Not exactly. In Vietnam, we did not have a recovered alcoholic Born Again president who, quite literally, believes he has a "mandate from God" to conduct the war. Of course, this means Bush will continue to be impervious to opinion polls, and will continue to ignore any dissenting opinion from his administration (from those limited few who would even offer a dissenting opinion anyway.) That is good news for those who might see a silver lining in this administration of Right Wing criminals discrediting themselves completely, but it doesn't bode well for the country as a whole. Already the damage to the USA (and indirectly to the Western World) is deep and long lasting, and things can get much worse.
