With automated manufacturing comes the changing nature of work force where the person who used to push the button is now required to maintain and repair the robots.Changing workforce requirements places a retraining burden on the employers. Instead, this Administration has allowed corporate America to make a fast buck by shipping jobs overseas instead of investing in technology and retraining of US workers.

The unions did that, not government. In Union America the union man keeps the button pushing job and another is trained to perform maintenance on the machine.
