I grocery shop at Wal-Mart every week. I'd estimate I save $10-20 weekly doing so. I buy all my clothes, furniture, kitchen stuff and other necessities at the local Deseret Industries stores, which are like a local Mormon Goodwill.

Whenever I get the urge to splurge, I go there. Yesterday, I found a pair of Doc Martin's imported English wingtips with air soles in my size, almost like new, for $8! (A $200 value!) I've also got an Armani suit I bought there, although I rarely wear it.

People die, their stuff goes to Goodwill, and I buy it. It's the ultimate in recycling. Competition is getting stiffer though. There are people that cherry-pick what comes in AS it comes in and re-sell it on the internet.
