Bush has no answer for immigration. The only one doing anything practical about it recently has been Bill Richardson. And he's one who cannot be accused of racism, which frankly permeates the far right's reaction to the problem. The Minutemen would be OK except for the fact I don't think a single Hispanic is amongst them. They're probably all racists. That pollutes their message.

I would trust Bill Richardson to be in charge of solving the problem, if that were possible.

If the Mexican border had been locked down 30 years ago as suggested by you, who the heck would take care of our lawn here in San Diego???

The same people who take care of lawns in American cities where there is not a large illegal population.

American teenagers. I used to cut lawns in Jr. High on weekends. My neighborhood (in Austin Tx.) didn't have any Mexican landscapers.
