Jesse Jackson does not have a church or ministry like Falwell and Robertson do. Does he now? He basically retired from the ministry to pursue his political goals. No no, you cannot compare the politically super-active religious rightwing with anything on the liberal side. Sure there are a few grey zones as you mentioned, but it's a molehill compared to the mountain range which is now the Bushie religious right. Those people have way too much power and are trying to use it to dictate their narrow-minded morality on the rest of us. It's un-American and wrong. Those people are also major league hypocrites and frankly quite wacko. Even Delay's former chief of staff called them "wackos".
