Usually those that benefit the most from illegal immigration are the small businesses because they can stay underneath the radar. Of course, the other small businesses who play by the rules get creamed.


You don't have to hire illegals to benefit from the oversupply of workers for low wage jobs. It's a commodity marketplace subject to supply/demand rules.

When Bush says illegals take "jobs Americans don't want to do" what it really means is illegals take "jobs Americans don't want to do unless the pay makes up for it". Meat cutters and packers in slaughter houses used to make great wages because it was a God Awful and dangerous job... now it's mostly illegals at minimum wage. At the low end of the job market there were options, however undesirable, and that created wage competition. Not anymore.
