My problem with your post of the Rasmussen poll is that I simply don't know what to believe after reading the numbers and the interpretation. There is not enough comparative information to make sense of them.

As I recall from the past political reason, Rasmussen has a decent reputation; not as good as the more established polling outfits but not bad either.

It's amazing that people who vote cannot move with the times... A flag burning issue. A protest against the war in Viet Nam. Those were different times... People behaved differently... If one has never LIVED through those times it's difficult to understand the political fervor....

If everyone of us was judged by everything we had done in our past and taken apart, dissected for every action.. many we may not be proud of any longer we might find that none of us could run for office. We would be too vulnerable..

I am all for giving people a chance to change and become part of the current milieu in terms of their thinking and actions. Maybe someone was a conservative once and has changed to a Libertarian. Should that person be held to what he or she previously believed.. CHANGE. We are all about CHANGE. It's good for us..
