The problem is we've BEEN negotiating with the Sunni insurgents. What exactly are we going to offer them? Shorter jail sentences in Abu Ghraib? The problem is that, it really looks like we've so exacerbated the situation to the point that Sunnis may be worried about THEIR LIVES and not just about their power and economic future. Perhaps they have every reason to fear that their future in a 'democratic' Iraq is bleak. Perhaps their reasons for fighting against the 'government' are growing, not shrinking.
