Great musicians have often been fascinated by mathematics... I don't know what's up with that but it's a know connection.

However, despite the fact that our society is extremely dependent on science and technology, liberal arts track students aren't required to have any significant science or math.

That's, in part, because stuff like the Sun moving around the earth was supposed to have been refuted back in the 8th grade. We are not talking calculus or physics here; these are basic theorems that have been proved scientifically over time and I thought were generally accepted.

You know......in the beginning, the US got some really bad DNA.....the prison camps in Savannah and other places plus the religious zealots in MASS and VA. Maybe the genetic stock here is weaker than we tend to believe. I know that sounds a bit farfetched but I am having a hard time reconciling some of the stuff we have been seeing and reading over the past few years.
