So perhaps AMD is helping set up an Indian TSMC, handing them a 9-11 layer copper 90nm SOI process which a couple of years from now when the FAB is operational, will be a middle of the road process for trailing devices?

It seems to me that AMD is much more involved here, with partial ownership and design & process IP than it has been with UMC or Chartered, so it would be interesting to understand their goals.

"Dragonfly whenever that comes out might be 90nm SOI K8 based. Big question mark that whole processor."

Yeah. This is probably the most interesting thing AMD has ever done. I wish there was more information about it.
