"Most people believe that's a good thing." Yep! The second election.... It would mark a good time to start pulling the troops out, getting our guys out of the middle of their civil war, and letting the locals go about the business of settling their own problems. Without the 'foreigners' around to blame all their difficulties on, progress towards a more civil society might even be much faster.
