We do differ on this. Few cheer for al quaeda but many cheer for ramsay clark's attack on the US, and anything that goes on in iraq that hurts President Bush. The casualties my disturb these folks but it doesnt deter them. None of them will ever admit to this so i have no proof but my gut tells me i am right. Actually i hope i am wrong.

On the contrary, the Democrats have mischaracterized our support for the Iraqi government as a war against the Iraqi people. They have declared a losing outcome to the situation in Iraq between the Sunni minority that keeps attacking the Shiite government. To walk away from the current situation would be an utter disaster. To declare the loss of 2000 US soldiers at a catastrophic loss is a complete mystery when the losses are compared to other wars. Tens of thousands of innocent civilians are being killed in Iraq by the Sunni opposition. These people are important to our national interests. Yes, the Iraqis hold the key to massive oil reserves in their country that the Shi'a and Kurds would love to sell to the open market. Of course, it is vital to our national security to protect their access to free markets. I don't think it's diabolical that Bush & Cheney are calling the shots from Washington. I think they are most qualified to understand how important that we help the people in Iraq are independent of the intolerant control of the Baathist Sunnis that pillaged and raped the entire nation of Iraq for their own games. 2/3's of Iraq is benefiting from the overthrow of Saddam Hussein. It is understandable for the world to look for scapegoats to blame, especially in Iraq. We are using the press to make ourselves the scapegoats for the Iraqi car bombers that are destroying the peace in their own country.
