I also saw that notation about selling a report, and you are correct to question their credibility. Anyone out to make a buck has every reason to play up a story. But assuming that the ATC tape is genuine, it is pretty compelling. The fact that something was reported by a pilot more than a MILE up and discounted by the FBI as a flare or a bottle rocket is crazy. Maybe I have been buying my fireworks in the wrong place, but a mile sounds like a LONG way up to me for a bottle rocket... or even a flare, for that matter. In the spirit of full disclosure, I am long PHPG and have been for a couple of years. I treat it like "portfolio insurance" against a successful MANPAD attack (God forbid).
