Seymour M. Hersh is an old man and could not expect to live in the world that he works so hard to create. A vastly diminished and impoverished America at the feet of Communist China and a new Islamic Caliphate is his goal, too bad he can't live there all by himself.

Peter, Yes. There was a time when the information media could be relied on to accurately report the news to, honestly, tell the public what was happening in the world. As they did this, they also printed, or televised, the brave, and honorable, deeds of people that led the way to a better world.

Cronkite told it as it was, but then, after he retired, the nation was contaminated by a vicious, malcontented, liberal thinker, by the name of Dan Rather. I lived in Houston when he was just a roaming commentator, and then anchor for the CBS affiliate there. When he was selected to replace Cronkite, I knew we were in trouble.

Even before that, the, so called, journalists that did the "deep throat" thing, had started the tendency of the media attempting to influence the public into believing that they were the guardians of the truth, when in fact, they were putting themselves in the position of policy control for the uneducated electorate who grew up in households that believed every word in the newspapers, and they lost the ability to think for themselves.
