More inflation / no inflation "ranting" from me .................................

Today, unit labor costs were reported to have fallen in the latest quarter (at over a 1% annual rate), and also (as I heard on CNBC, but could not confirm in the WSJ) ...

were reported to have (after a revision) ALSO fallen at over a 1% annual rate in the quarter preceding the current quarter.

Yet, many people still talk about wage pressures, full employment, etc.

Tonight's (tomorrow's) WSJ says :

1. It may really finally "all be over" with this (recent) idiotic housing market.

2. Bernanke actually thinks about things such as the huge deflationary consequences of the housing market "sucking."

3. Bond market column has several "experts" saying things like "If the bonds rallied today, it's just dumb. Everyone knows we have a real inflation problem (still) that needs to be cured."

----------------------------------------

I still predict :

Soon ... those same "experts" will all become familiar with deflationary risks ...

Jon.

Bernanke's book (mentioned in WSJ article) is available in paperback ....................................

I just ordered a copy from Amazon.com

Here's a description of the book :

(It is possible that the WSJ piece will start a "run" on inventories of the book.)

Jon.

P.S. The book is about $15.00. If anyone wants a recommendation on something to take you up over Amazon's "magic" $25.00 level (to get free shipping), I suggest :
