MU Micron estimates cut at JMP (13.99 )

JMP says that given collapsing PC DRAM pricing, which fell by 15-20% in Nov, they cut their Q1 EPS est to $0.01 from $0.15 (consensus $0.12). While MU is again expected to grow revs significantly in the robust consumer NAND flash memory, specialty DRAM, and CMOS image sensor markets, firm believes that MU will still be adversely impacted in the Nov qtr by weak PC DRAM pricing due to aggressive commodity Taiwan/China PC DRAM competitors. Firm also cuts their FY06-07 EPS ests. However, firm reits their Outperform, saying the stock is an attractive value idea for 2006.
