Hollow, two-faced doubletalk is one of the big reasons I no longer work in government public affairs.

I agree with you on the hollow, two-faced doubletalk.

I hate it whenever I hear it and I hear it much more than I would like.

But let's be real. That is nothing like the pain that German suffered when mistaken by the CIA for someone else.

I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to be mistaken for a terrorist and tortured for information that you can't possibly have.

Was a crime committed? Yes, but I don't care who did it and why as long as if we can just make sure it does not happen again. We should at least be able to agree not to torture innocent people.

At least in this case they let the man go. I heard that Rice made that decision. That is a big deal. From what I heard on TV last night, from an ex-CIA person, we would normally just kill that person and burn the body and no one would ever know what happened.
