The religious right is very much against sex. Don't be fooled. Of course they're hypocrites, but that's what the abortion issue is really all about. Traditionally, the easiest way to ban sex has been to limit the sexual freedom of women. Chastity belts were the old way. Branding them as whores. Now it's trying to take away their rights to and acceptance of birth control and reproductive rights, including abortion.
