Len, the answer is yes to your question. During and after WW II, there were a number of Nazi's who became active in the Syrian military and intelligence as well as scattered about the arab world. they continued their ideology in their new host countries. not that the arabs didnt commit pogroms without help from the nazi's, but that it wasnt a national policy prior to WW II

I believe that people can be acculturated to believe all kinds of things. In the Palestinian territories they have been trained to hate Jews and to believe that Jews are subhuman. Many other muslims have been taught that Christians and Jews are subhuman. Is it wrong to kill a dog, or slaughter a fatted chicken? Mankind is at great peril if the practices of demonization and marginalization of perceived enemies is not stopped. "how is it that Palestinian Jew and Palestinian Moslem and Christians have lived together for centuries without a genocide of mass proportions?" We did not have the methods of mass propaganda and brainwashing that are being practiced on muslims today. Are Jews or Christians being taught at home, and at school that muslims are the source of all of their problems? Are they being taught that muslims are less that human? It seems that the media through repetitive stories of mass violence by muslims have been sending this message unintentionally.
