I think I said the tuition of $16k was covered by my parent's contribution of $2k and a school grant of $14k. The per capita income in the US is close to $40k, it's hard to image even a low income family can't pay $2k for college tuition.

Tales of woe...Kevin is going to have a high paying job but will be working the rest of his life paying off a $10,000 loan? LOL

Andrea works 30 hours a week and will have a $2000 loan.

Why do you think students should not graduate with so much debt?
Why spend the money to educate yourself if you'll only be working the rest of your life to pay it off and go no where in life?

What do you most look forward to when you graduate?
Grad school and a high paying job
