Not much has changed in all these years... i agree with that. we strung white lights on the tree out front a while back - they serve as winter lights too. it gets dark quite early up here it seems and the tree brightens things up a bit. this year h-man cut a whole bunch of hemlock and ceder boughs for me and so i made a wreath for the front door. it looks pretty cool if i do say so myself <g> i borrowed some red berries from my neighbour's holly bush and added some moss and other goodies. it was fun. but christmas isn't quite a much fun as it used to be when the kids were little - heck, even when they weren't little! these times are precious. make the most of them - i know you do. -rose
