The automakers have not been in this tight of a bind since the late 70's-early 80's, when DCX filed.
Pushing gas guzzling SUV's is plain old foolish. A repeat of those times when they were too arrogant to acknowledge the change in attitudes towards gas guzzlers and the Japanese took the lead.
SUVs should have been HEAVILY taxed.
The idiots who insist on driving the largest, most impractical vehicle should be driving them in the sands of Iraq
