Hi c2....Please tell us why it's ALWAYS Bush did or didn't do whatever someone wanted him to do....ALWAYS...! Re NO...I thought that BILLIONS had been given from the Government, and also more from all the donations from the citizens. Are there any specifics or is it all innuendo that "they didn't do whatever".... Did the Government bail out the States from Hugo? Totally? Does the State itself have ANY responsibility in repairing, or taking away refuse and all of the etcs? Is there any honest appraisal of the situation, and naming WHO has done WHAT in the area> I heard today that the Gov from MS said some of the same things. I truly would like a timeline as to exactly what has happened in the various areas, and when. And what is left to do.... From the little news any of us receives, it really is hard to know. If the Pac NY gets an earthquake, and then a tsunami of giant proportions, then is the US Government responsible for fixing everything, or are the citizens and the State responsible for some if not all...??? (BTW, I mentioned something like this after the hurricane happened in NO....and now see the Seattle Times for predictions about the possibility of that same scenario....

C2, the fact that u are able to post on SI (assuming u live in NO) tells me a few things ... Pls correct me if I am wrong... - U have electricity, u have communications capability. If your appliances are electic u have cooking, heating/cooling, and TV (even if basic free to air channels). - Maybe u dont have decent sanitation & water facilities. Does that sum it up correctly ? If yes, what more do u expect the federal govt to provide u ? What u may be missing may well be a local govt issue to resolve.
