X and Y generations seem so passive. The attitude seems to be "we can't do anything about it (whatever issue), they'll do what they want, so why try". An example is the firm belief by younger people that "social security won't be there when I retire, I'll never see a penny". It will be there if they set it as a priority, this is still (barely) a democracy. John
