Orion,

I think the best buy program to sell apple cpu was limited and experimental. I have never seen an apple cpu at my local best buy. They do sell a very limited number of models on their web site(the last time I checked, they were sold out of 2 of the 3 models that they did carry). I think one of the things that apple had learned about selling their cpu's in stores is that it doesn't do any good to put inventory in stores that don't want to promote them to their best advantage. That is the reason for the store in store concept at compusa.

>>"Can you get Macs at Best Buy now?"

Yes, yes you can and the people there know zilch about Macs.<<

Orion -

In my experience most of the people at Best Buy don't know much about much. It is probably fair to say, however, that they know even less about Macs than they do about PCs.

It would certainly be in Apple's interest to provide training for the large retailers.
