Why do Christians want to ram their nonsensical views down the throats of those who want nothing to do with it? For instance a copy of the Ten Commandments in a courthouse would offend me greatly because those are religious based beliefs I don't cater too. A courthouse is a public place where people of all backgrounds are judged - its the last place religious symbols should be present to influence or intimidate given the establishment clause.

Otherwise I have no problem with people wanting to believe whatever they want to believe - just don't ram it down my throat. If you want to put a manger scene on your front lawn - do it. Don't put it on the lawn of government buildings however because that is my government building too. Its also the courthouse of Muslim, Jewish and Buddhist Americans and one religion must not be favored over another which seems the outrageous wish of evangelicals. Why are evangelicals so anti-American? Don’t they know how to read the constitution?

As far as morality goes I find it's the Christian types who seem to lack moral character. Christians seem incapable of seeing the bigger moral picture. Christians break the law and deny abortion access to poor unwed mothers but turn away when that kid is forced to bring a baby into abject poverty and a hopeless future for the baby and mother. Christians have no problem with that. Christians believe that if they accept Christ as their savior, that’s it, anything else they do is excused. Further anyone not "Christian" is therefor "sub human" and not worthy. Somehow God creates homosexuals and wants them discriminated against at the same time - what is he some kind of joker? You yourself have no moral qualms about the killing of Muslims and are a big supporter of war, which is nothing more than death and destruction - how is that a defendable moral stance?

I may believe the bible is man written and the story of Christ much ado about nothing. That the Christian religion is just the flip side of the Muslim religions – a sociological manifestation of mans need to define himself in terms of a God due to the difficult questions of life. But I have enough of a moral compass to know war is wrong and that torture is wrong and racism, discrimination and hate are wrong – something that can’t be said of most Christians around here.

Re: "will destroy itself just like the ancient Roman Empire."

Er... *Christianity* was the official state religion of the Empire when it fell....
