Thanks Altie.. Yes, there are around 60 different ethnic groups that are referred to as Montanyards.. They are still quite isolated and abused. Still a lot of tension in and around Buon Me Thout, the north promised them autonomy, but never came through on the promised. The minority people are still very angry, and it erupts into violence quite often, we rarely hear about it. But the government has discovered they can make money by turning the ethnic groups into tourist attractions, it is really awful what they plan to do. more later...my crew needs me on a job site...
