The Terri Schiavo case ruined the rightwing's claim to morality and ethics. Right after the rightwingers were proven to be hypocrites and liars, grandstanding for money and votes around Sciavo's deathbed, the popularity of the rightwing dived 11% and democrats soared 10%. Evenm 50% of evangelicals disagreed with what the Bush-Delay-Frist crowd were doing trying to dictate life and death family decisions. After that,. Bush and DElay's ratings nose-dived another 10%. Not only that, but the rightwing turned out to be 100% wrong about Schiavo. She WAS braindead. Completely. In fact she was even blind. As the autopsy showed, there was no hope of any recovery and pulling the plug after 15 years was the only ethical thing to do. Not only that, the rightwing congress had no right to interject themselves into a private deathbed situation. But they did it an away. This was the beginning of the end of the religious rightwing Bushie revolution. They were unmasked as frauds, liars, dangerous extremists and hypocrites.
