Interestingly, in spite of what you think, WMA is not dead.

The point is that people on this thread tend to whine about why msft stock never goes anywhere. I'm telling you why, now maybe you in your mind believe WMA is not dead, but I can assure you that pretty much everybody else thinks wma is dead... just log in to kazaa and look for wma files if you don't believe me. There is maybe 1 WMA file for every 100 mp3 that comes up.

If msft had some kind of hook into web commerce, something like paypal, or search, or anything really- this stock would move, at least more than it is now. You have to accept that the market is about perceptions. The perception is that msft is a no-show on the web.

You know, a lot of people think that sony's ipod is better than apple's ipod. And sony has opened image stores in retail outlets too. Doesn't matter. Too late. Same with msft, most of msft web products these days aren't any good, but some are good, but they are too late- copycats.
