You are totally off base with that observation, c2. We just donated several hundred dollars to help the relief fund, AND collected another several hundred dollars worth of merchandise, plus bought more ourselves to send to the people who are afflicted there. So don't tell me that I, and others like me, who don't live there, don't care. I think it is you who should try to see the situation with outside eyes. First, we all know that the MSM isn't telling the story. Period. SO how are people to know...even people who are interested. You as a lawyer, might be able to take it upon yourself to write articles about what you find, and either blog them, or write articles for the paper, or try to get on TV to help advertise the situation there. You of all people, don't like the US Government to get into every single facet of our lives. And yet, now you do. You didn't answer my questions as to why you are after Bush only on this....What has the Governor of LA, or the Mayor of NO done themselves to help broadcast to the Nation what good has happened, and what more is still needed, plus what those local governments are doing right now to help themselves. I think people everywhere want to help. We just need to know more about the problem, what has been done in each instance, and then what more is still needed. In general, people always respond to need. Louisiana hasn't been the virtuous place we might wish when it comes to graft...so I think we as a Nation need to know what has happened so many times before with funds, won't happen now. If the Federal Government and the leaders from the States have any sense at all, they would be asking the same questions as well. Is there a main website that we could turn to that would help answer some of these questions, particularly those about "want" versus "need".....
