JF, And how can they keep on deporting them if they can't check their citizenship? When they commit a crime again, then their citizenship status is checked. But by then it's too late. Yeah, I know, repeat crooks are repeat crooks, whether they're legal citizens or illegal aliens. But why not just deport those we can in the first place before they commit another crime? This is all about drawing the "nuance" between enforcing immigration law and being sensitive toward the humanitarian needs of poor illegal immigrants. I can see why you're unwilling to admit that.
