Governor is a republican and Lowell Weickert has made some noises about running. Ct is a liberal state and given Joes pro war position, his reelection wouldnt be automatic in any case. I can really see why he would want to be head of DOD. McCain, Hagel, Biden, Powell, McCain are the core of a group that believe iraq was lost becauee of poor managemnt by Rummy. No cabinet memeber in my memory has ever avoided accountability for so long as rummy has. The Neocons took the brunt of blame for the war along with the folks who hyped the intel but in the end if the war could have been better fought and victory was at hand all would have been forgiven except for the very leftys. Rummys self assured demeanor has turned into an angry version of arrogance sprinkled with self righteousness.
