3-4 inches. Lieberman is as old as you John. He has one shot left at national level. DOD undoing Rummy would be productive for both of us because i expect that we both agree Rummy should be fired because he has done an awful job. You liked Powell at state i suspect and often complained that rummy&co overruled him to the nations detriment. Joe brings Powell like thinking on the military back into the mix. And i dont think Condi will object to a change at DOD either. There are many better folks in this admin who have been thwarted by rummy along with a long list of prominent generals. If Joe goes no further than DOD he still will have the opportunity to undo the bad policies which for him will be quite rewarding. He will have the support of folks like Mccain, Biden, those dissident generals, lugar, hagel etc. You will (might) like him at DOD.
