imus and kerry go way , long time friends. when kerry is misunderstood he runs to Imus for cover and a friendly head talker to try to flip flop without grief. remember the rumor of him dating a women in pa. who was somewhere in africa with her boyfriend... kerry only came out and spoke about it (denied it) with Imus. best set up going, Imus will only probe as far as kerry wants without getting into more details. Kerry will then say its over.
