Yes, that was a bit off topic.

Point was: Christianity was the only legal religion. It was the State religion.

(Official State religions guarantee neither survival of an empire, nor survival of individual liberty.)

I do wonder at what stupidity has people thinking that keeping a constant message accross millions of humans from so many varied backgrounds can be done withing a hierarchy. As to the living in splendor and wealth, more petty judgemental ignorance.

The last Pope was far holier than almost all men. From what I have seen of the current Pope, I would guess he is very similar.
This Pope has published some amasing thoughts about what Christ taught.

There is no catholic denomination. There is the Catholic Church. The Catholic part is about keeping a constant message. you can look that up if you don't believe me.

You can believe anything you wish. But me thinks you look stupid when you think you know what other believe in matters of faith.

If an Arab is in public, and says "praise Allah" nobody says a damned thing, but if a Christian says "Merry Christmas" liberal pricks get their noses all out of joint.

Yeah, I think that is the crux of your argument. A good point made too. I wish to know which of us "liberal pricks" decided saying "merry Xmas" was a bad thing?

We need to use our inside security forces to blow that (those) A/H's away...

opps my un-liberal side showing again -g-
