I was thinking that the wall was a rather good idea. Seems to me that the good news is more than just Gaza. Israel is pulling up its socks and taking care of itself in a smart and realistic way, one that isn't dependent on considerations from the community of nations. It is pulling back to a more defensible position, both militarily and in terms of no longer humoring the more outlandish aspirations of it's more zealous citizens. I've been rather encouraged.

You cant have a true peace in the classic sense with folks who contine suicide bombings as part of their strategy. One doesnt have to be a defender of Likud and Greater Israel, to be a supporter of a states right to survive. Thats why the wall and harsh reaction to individual acts of terror llke what has followed the last blast. Look how selective the israelis are being in response to the last attack. It used to be you kllled 10, we will get 11 but now the israelis are takingt their time and looking for the terrorists. Lets hope the terrorists get the message but until they do, peace will come from the israeli side thru separation and not love. Wish it could be different.
