This must be very frustrating for someone looking to move to a bubble state in the future or for other reasons has no house to flip. Sell your house for $15k and buy one in California for $1.5M? It's like a giant trap door shut.

my guess is that the majority of population in this town is over 65, residents are not commuting to another town for day jobs, there is no industry or tourism value.
