In my opinion, the liberal media uses the word insurgent to describe terrorist acts in order to suggest that we believe they are only fellow Iraqis trying to get justice. The word terrorist is beneficial to the Bush administration message while the word insurgent is beneficial to the 'Dean' administration message.

It is really the old song - One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

Re: "John Murtha says there is a difference between insurgents and terrorists."

What I hear about on the news in Iraq are not insurgents.

THEY ARE TERRORISTS.

George Washington was an insurgent.

You are a terrorist when you blow up weddings, blow up schools, blow up hospitals, blow up funerals. ALL DELIBERATELY TO INFLICT AS MANY CASUALTIES ON CIVILIANS AS POSSIBLE. Note the word CIVILIANS.

Insurgents don't do that sort of thing. Terrorists do.
