Buddy, I would not want any religion, or denomination, to have power in the government either. All I want, is to be able to voice my beliefs of a religious matter without some politically correct prick trying to tell me that was not fair, or to be allowed. I believe the politicians, mainly the CIC, should decide when the military is deployed, but should then stand aside and let them do their job without interference. That was the main problem in Nam. Can you imagine the leader of a convoy, receiving enemy fire, but could not fire back until he had radioed headquarters for permition based on the edicts of the politicians in DC? Many fine soldiers lost their lives because of this delay in being able to defend themselves.
