Murtha is a conservative hawk, you lamebrain. He's The Pentagon's favorite congressman and the #1 military expert in congress. A 37 year Marine veteran and lives and dies by the armed service. Kerry is also a military expert, though more liberal, the top defender of veteran's rights in the senate and someone who fully understands why the US lost Vietnam. So he doesn't want to repeat the experience in Iraq.

Murtha was frequently quoted by the warmongers when he voted for the war in Iraq. Now that he has seen that defeat is imminent and wants to withdraw with whatever little honor that is left, he becomes a "left-winger".

Let me tell you this -- it took TWO AND A HALF YEARS for Murtha to realize his mistake. It is better late than never, but comparing Murtha to Michael Moore is an insult to the latter and other folks who clearly saw that the Iraq invasion would be a disaster - months BEFORE the invasion began.
