A country that spends as much as the rest of the world combined on it's military. 5% of the world's people spend as much as the other 95% on their military. Why? Why do we fear SO MUCH?

That's over what I was arguing with CJ. We say its because we want the world to be a better and safer place and that its a dirty job but someone has to do it but I really wonder how true that is.
