Agree. An old friend who is a fairly traditional flag-waving support the president and the troops kind of guy has changed his tune. He thinks Bush and Cheney should be escorted out of the White House and thrown in the slammer now.. or worse. The change came sometime last summer.. Too bad it didn't come a year ago last summer..If it had, we wouldn't have this national embarrassment ensconced for a second term.

So I heard a tribute to Eugene McCarthy this morning on CBS, I think it was. One of the main stream networks anyway. So the woman correspondent closed with saying something to the effect that McCarthy was "the conscience of the period" SO I NEVER heard anyone from MSM calling him the "conscience of the period" at THAT time.. It is always AFTER the fact. Like any great person that speaks out against injustice, they are always dissed in their own time but embraced afterward when it is SAFE.. Hey MSM and your followers, "Who is our "conscience" NOW?.. Tell us NOW please. Quickly now!!.. So your followers can jump on his/her band wagon NOW and save some grief.. c
