The basic difference is that I don't grant government a special privileged position.

One thing that you don't recognize is that anything a democratic government does is deemed to have our consent whether you personally gave yours or not. You don't get a veto. You don't get to drop out. The only way you can get past that is to argue that the democratic form of government is immoral. You don't want to do that, do you?
