Hence, don't start. Given the type of people who engage in the "security", profession, they should be kept in the shortest possible leash. A normal person, exercises restrain by using common sense, appraising a situation and acting accordingly. Not in the "security" activity. The people who are actually engaged in this type of activity, the ones to whom this profession appeals, i.e., the ones who apply for this type of jobs, do not have their own way of thinking. They read a book of rules and act. This can be further reinforced through personality tests by the agencies that employ them, i.e., the chosen ones most likely not to think on their own. In the end you come out with the following principle: "If the way you read the rule book shooting this guy, under these circumstances, won't get you in trouble shoot him" Lets see how this guy goes went over the edge: You put a guy in a job that includes travelling in a plane without any purpose but to watch what passengers do. Keep him doing this for a long time in the same route. As you know you can't change him to fly to Islamabad because he knows Spanish he has to travel to Spanish speaking countries only. After a couple of years of flying to Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru Bolivia this guy is fed up of planes, the people who travels in planes and you get really edgy. One flight, one passenger goes into plane, he's acting in a way that makes the flight a horrible experience. The marshall is already himself going mad because he sees his life as a piece of furniture of the plane for the rest of his life. He thinks: "If this guy do -for a milisecond- something that can make me ut in the ruile book I will shoot him" Lets say the marshall knows Spanish but not as a mother tongue, then the guy shouts, in a Spanish, something like: "I about to explode. Continuing like that I explode!" A skirmish ensues and the marshall shoots him.
