Our 'puppies' love the cold, particularly Maggie. She will find a branch, a spot, lie down and has been with us long enough to be totally rude and ignore us IF she wants to remain outside in the snow. She plays 'deaf'. Of course, she can hear the magic 'treat word' immediately :) and immediately be encouraged to come in the house.

Mopsy runs down to the far corner fence now and barks across the creek at the dogs and kids on the slope across the way. With the leaves gone everything is open to her eyes. She will quiet down when we call 'no bark', but when called now she has not come on all occasions. She learns from Maggie with whom she is bonded and copies. Yesterday she played 'her game' with Joe and when he called she turned and sat down facing him remaining in the far corner. Joe, having had a bit of enough with our 'disobedient pup' decided he'd go get her. As he started toward her she lay down in the snow. Half way to her, she stood up and froze at attention. He continued walking with just his shoes through the snow (not boots) and all of a sudden she tore up the hill toward him just a wee bit out of his way and raced on by him to greet me at the door with tail wagging. She turned to wag her tail at him... so very happy!!I was laughing... hehe... Joe just 'smiles' in his way.

(obviously they (the dogs, not Joe;) are in need of a 'bit more' training ;)
They love the snow. :)

Good Morning!
