Fillmore > This taboo on even discussing the Israeli link to the war in Iraq introduces major distortions into practically every effort to examine and change the policies that are causing massive hatred of the U.S.

That's perfectly true, in fact, the relationship with Israel is the 800 pound gorilla standing in the middle of the room that no-one dare mention. And that's not a revelation either, the Zionist/pro-Zionist infiltration of the US administration has been going on for many years now, as I believe it has happened in the UK, and it's not going to be an easy matter to get rid of it. Pro-Zionists can't be pushed out of the government, they can't be voted out and a revolution to forcibly get rid of them is out of the question. So, it seems to me that Zionist influence on/domination of US policy will continue as long as the State of Israel exists -- and people will just have to accept it, however damaging to the US "image" and American prestige it is.

I often make the analogy of a small wasp that has laid its egg on the body of a big spider. As the larva of the wasp grows it slowly devours the spider until, in the end, the spider is dead and the larva turns into a wasp and flies away.
