Heaven forbid anyone could possibly think the Bush administration would use "fear and panic" to promote their private agendas. Surely if a piece of aluminum pipe is a nuclear warhead, eight deaths a year from bird flu is a pandemic. Are people really that naive? Or is it a natural aversion to admitting being played for suckers?

Would a person get in trouble opening a website to sell a cure for fantasy flu? It seems to me it could be treated with a placebo as well as anything (not counting counselling by a mental health specialist).
